My Practice

I am truly passionate about helping individuals heal their relationship with food and get to a place where food is enjoyable, not stressful. I understand that decisions around food are complex and ultimately need to nourish you physically, emotionally, and mentally.

My primary area of expertise is working with adolescents and adults who find they are using food as a maladaptive coping mechanism for other stressors in life. This may be in the form of disordered eating, emotional eating, chronic dieting, over-exercising, or an eating disorder (including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, ARFID, OSFED). I have years of experiencing working with clients at the residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient level of care. I use evidence-based research and experience to best serve my clients and believe recovery from an eating disorder and healing your relationship with food is possible for everyone.

I also specialize in the intersection of disordered eating and eating disorders with PCOS, hypothalamic amenorrhea, IBS, pre and postnatal nutrition, parent-child feeding nutrition support, and mood and anxiety disorders (including depression, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, and OCD).

I practice using a non-diet, weight-neutral, trauma-informed, Health at Every Size® based nutrition approach. What does this all mean? Rather than prescribing unsustainable diets, I work with you and walk alongside you to help you learn to honor your body’s cues in order to nourish yourself, rather than listening to diet culture’s unrealistic expectations of what we ‘should’ be eating or look like. I believe everyone is deserving of the freedom that comes from not thinking about food/body image all day which allows individuals to focus their energy on the values of their life that bring them true joy. It would be my honor to work with you on your journey to finding peace with food.
