My Practice

Welcome! Starting therapy can sometimes be daunting, and it takes courage to even consider it. I view therapy as a collaborative relationship where you can bring your whole self to therapy, the parts you are proud of and the parts you sometimes hide. I make sure my clients feel seen, heard, understood, and encouraged to grow. Coming from a multicultural family, I have a strong interest in working with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and value incorporating this into therapy.

My approach to therapy provides a compassionate space where individuals can learn to become more aware of how their thoughts, feelings and life challenges affect their well being. I believe healing and growth occur when we recognize that we are imperfect human beings, and begin to meet ourselves with more kindness and acceptance. My practice incorporates cognitive-behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness and compassion-based treatments. Using scientifically supported treatments, I work with each client to create a personalized approach tailored to their needs. In addition to knowing what my clients struggle with, we will also identify their strengths and what they care most about in life. In this way, clients can develop skills to begin aligning their lives more with their values.

I work with adolescents, adults, parents, couples, and families across the lifespan. Helping adolescents and young adults build resilience and self-compassion during this important time in life is a passion of mine.  I use evidence-based practices to treat a variety of conditions including anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, anger and emotion dysregulation, insomnia, and chronic pain. Working with parents and families is another important aspect of my clinical work. I enjoy empowering parents to navigate the inherent difficulties of raising children while remembering to also care for themselves.
