My Practice

As a psychologist, I provide services to children, adolescents, and adults. I use primarily behavioral and cognitive interventions, incorporating other approaches as needed. I aim to build on the strengths of those I work with, not merely to eliminate problems but also to help individuals and families move closer to the lives they want. I tailor treatment to best fit the needs of those I work with, while typically using interventions that have strong research evidence behind them to show that they work (also called “evidence-based practices”).

My work with children, teens and families focuses on behavioral and emotional challenges including: anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, depression, disruptive behavior/acting out, grief, and ADHD. At the request of the client, I also provide consultation to teachers or physicians regarding ongoing concerns.

My work with adults typically focuses on issues of stress, trauma, anxiety, OCD and depression.

Successful treatment will involve individuals trying new things both within our meetings and between them. In the case of children, parents often need to make changes in their own behavior in order to help their children change.

INSURANCE:

While I do not contract with insurance companies, depending on your eligibility, your insurance may reimburse you for a substantial part of my fee as an out-of-network provider. Please contact your insurance to inquire about your out-of-network coverage and limits for individual psychotherapy or family therapy (parent training).

NEW CLIENT INQUIRIES:

My practice is currently full and I am not able to accept new clients at this time. Occasionally new spaces open up and I am able to bring in a new client from the pool of new patient inquiries I have received.  If you are interested in the possibility of working with me in the future, you may provide more information about yourself and the reasons you are seeking therapy.  If it appears that you would be a good fit for a spot that opens up in the future, I will contact you at that time to discuss our options.

Because I believe it is important for every person to access therapy as soon as possible, please also reach out to other clinicians at the Seattle Clinic who may have openings, or visit Seattle Psychology, Greenlake Therapy Group, or Associates in Behavioral Health.
